27th ASRC International Workshop " Nuclear Fission and Exotic Nuclei "

Ibraraki Quantum Beam Research Center, Tokai, Japan
1-2.December.2015

Supported by Advanced Science Research Center (ASRC ), JAEA

Organized by the Research Group of Heavy Element Nuclear Science of the ASRC ( here )
and Nuclear Physics Group of the University of York ( here )

An international workshop : "Nuclear Fission and Exotic Nuclei" will be held on 1st-2nd December 2015 organized by ASRC of JAEA , Tokai, Japan. The meeting will mainly be devoted to new experimental and theoretical achievements in fission, super-heavy nuclei, nuclear reaction and structure of exotic nuclei. Discussion will also be given on the planned new facility at J-PARC, where 400 MeV proton beam can be used. This is the 5th meeting in the series of workshops held at ASRC (Tokai). The links to four earlier workshops can be found below.

Meeting on Future Facility at J-PARC

In November 30th, we will organize a satellite meeting on future facility at J-PARC to use 400 MeV proton beam for ISOL type experiment. Initial physics and technical ideas for such a development at J-PARC will be discussed. Those who wish to participate in the meeting, should tick the respective field in the registration form. The meeting place will be announced in a later communication.

Preliminary program of the meeting can be downloaded .

Registration and Contribution

All colleageus wishing to join the workshop are kindly requested to fill in the Registration Form and send it to organizers ( asrc-fission@jaea.go.jp ) by the 23rd October 2015 . Participants wishing to give an oral presentation should also fill the title.
Authors of contributions selected as oral talks will be notified by the end of October 2015.

Workshop Schedule and Place

The workshop will start on Tuesday, 1st in the morning, and end on Wednesday, 2nd in the late afternoon. The workshop is held at the building of J-PARC Center User Office ) in Tokai (photo). The building is a few minutes walking distance from the main gate of the campus of Nuclear Science Research Institute ).
