About

This Reimei Workshop is part of a series of workshops sponsored by the Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA). Reimei means "dawn" in Japanese, and the workshop is intended to highlight the physics being done now, or in the near future, at J-PARC's Hadron Hall. The opportunities to discover new phenomena in hadronic physics, such as exotic resonances or the critical point of the quark-gluon plasma, are abundant. Advances in both theory and experiment have led to a resurgence in understanding how QCD is manifest in measureable phenomena. This workshop will provide discussion on topics relevant to the hadronic physics being done at J-PARC and elsewhere.

Topics

  • Hadron experiments in J-PARC
  • Heavy ion collision
  • Hadron (meson & baryon) spectroscopy
  • Nucleon structure
  • Hadrons in medium
  • Exotic states
  • Lattice QCD
  • "Dense matter" physics such as "properties of matter in compact stars"
  • Poster session
